“Our son, Nathan, started at Brain Boost Academy after we and his teachers noticed that Nathan was not advancing as we thought he would after having competed an extra year of pre-k. He was having difficulty with recall, processing, and attention. He was loving and fun but overall had difficulty communicating with his peers and adults in a meaningful and understandable way. We met with Karyn and the BBA staff and they gave us so much hope. Within months of Nathan starting the program we noticed such big changes. He was more independent, funny, outgoing, and he was no longer my "shadow" child. Within weeks, he was talking more and making sense to others outside of the family; we were so used to being his "translator" to explain his words and thought processes and that was no longer needed. We are now in month 5 and the growth is dramatic. His memory and attention have both expanded to a point I did not think was possible. He is processing and learning and he has such confidence in both. The techniques that Karyn has her staff use are so unique and fun. Nathan loves going to see his coaches, it never feels like a chore but rather his fun activity time. “My (now 10yr old) son has struggled for most of his life. He never quite fit into one specific delay (Speech delay, autism, nor ADHD, etc), but life was always a struggle. We were extremely proactive in seeking out services beginning at the age of 18 months old, however, by the age of 7-8 we still had no answers. I felt like we were simply circling the drain of special education with no light at the end of the tunnel. Frankly, I was terrified. I felt helpless. Terrified that I would never be able to pinpoint the problem, nor get him the help he needed. Terrified for my child, for his future. “When our son was around the age of 4 years old, he started having issues with sleep and showing some sensory related signs. These included BIG emotional outbursts and meltdowns at home, and even impulse control at preschool. He’s always been a spirited child that’s smart and talks a lot, but also has a level of intensity. He was having issues with certain foods and textures and honestly, we were all struggling!
We mentioned these things to our Pediatrician, but he wasn’t all that concerned and that’s when we started seeking alternative ways to help our unique child. When we found Brain Boost Academy, we learned about primitive reflex integration and how this would help his early development of mental connections, and how this was the foundation of many of his challenges. We liked the methods they used because they’re rooted in brain science and child development.
We received support around his behavior, and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel alone!! It was such a pleasure to work with Karyn Lutes at Brain Boost Academy. She listened to the details of our situation, was empathetic, very knowledgeable and had answers for us.
Once we started the therapy, very quickly we started seeing improvements in his emotional regulation, sleeping and willingness to eat different textures. He started to go with the flow more and the teachers commented that he was having an easier time with transitions at school. He didn’t seem to have as many massive meltdowns and wasn’t as phased when something didn’t go as planned in the day.
Now I’m not so terrified about him starting kindergarten! I would absolutely recommend Brain Boost Academy to my friends and family. We’re so grateful for all the knowledge and loving support we’ve received!”

“Our child was bright, I knew he would be a great student when his school years started. Once in school, he was the first in Kindergarten to learn all his sight words and even complete all of his 1st grade sight words. I was shocked and perplexed him he began struggling in 1st grade and by 2nd grade he had definitely fallen behind and was unable to read. Completely just unable to read, which is odd as when conversing with him it was very apparent that he was intelligent. Thanks to his amazing teacher who had encountered a student like him in the past, she hinted enough that I was able to figure out she was thinking he was maybe dyslexic.. which has nothing to do with intelligence but creates struggles in reading and math. I began my search of outside facilities that could help "correct" this and was feeling very disappointed as most of my findings were that this was just something he was going to have to learn to live with. That is when I heard about Brain Boost, I immediately called and left a message in the evening. The owner, Karyn, called me back quickly (after hours) and talked to me for about an hour! I instantly felt a glimmer of hope. I arranged to have him tested there to see when we could begin... the testing proved that his struggles coincided with dyslexia. It was a hard pill to swallow and looking at the costs of the program he needed was daunting. There was no way that I couldn't do this for him though so we went ahead with the full recommendation. I would 100% do this all over again! My little man's life has literally been completely changed. He is not quite up to grade level but is quickly approaching. In just a few short months, he went from being unable to read at all to reading 2nd grade level chapter books independently. His grades in math have improved and other areas that I thought were just "him" have changed... i.e. he was not very athletic and now his entire group of friends has changed, he hangs out with the sporty kids and plays sports and excels. He was once very uncoordinated and he is amazingly coordinated now. This program was a complete game changer.. it was very expensive, took a lot of time and dedication, and sometimes bribery BUT I would highly recommend that you do this for your child if you are considering”

“As a nurse, I see how their methods help connect the dots for children, teens and even adults. So much has evolved in neuroscience and what we now know about brain development and the ability to make new mental connections in the brain.
Up until recently, we didn’t know the brain could lack development in the pathways, which are like roadblocks. And our children developed around those roadblocks. However, science proves we can go back and repair the undeveloped neuro-pathways at any age.

I know how difficult it is to have a bright child that is very over-active like a little tornado with a short-attention span. I couldn’t keep up with him and had to keep him busy to keep him out of trouble.
I learned that with an evaluation, the deficits could be identified and treated specifically and that it would require a developmental one on one program. “Karyn and her team at Brain Boost are AMAZING! Brain Boost is not just for kids or adults with diagnosed disorders or learning disabilities. Brain Boost can help anyone realize their full potential! My son was flying under the radar at school, not doing poorly enough to catch anyone's attention. I knew he could do better, and we were struggling with behaviors at home. Now his school work is improving and we don't struggle so much at home. We began seeing results about a quarter of the way through his program and he continues to improve each week.
